Welding
Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Welding program provides students with the necessary training to become competent welders upon successful completion of all the welding courses in each level. Students will develop the skill and knowledge to work safely and effectively in today's demanding industrial environment.
Kwantlen graduates are able to ladder into other careers such as welding inspector, supervisors and quality assurance personnel.
For individuals who desire a demanding, challenging and well paid career in an industrial field, welding is an excellent choice. Welders often pursue a second trade as a millwright, metal fabricator, pipefitter, boilermaker, ironworker or a variety of other trades..
If you are an apprentice and you wish information on start dates for different levels of Welding apprenticeship classes, please refer to the Program Schedule.
